# Duty Dashboard: coverage and workload at a glance

> Check staffing coverage, workload balance, and upcoming gaps across your organisation for the month — or drill into a single doctor's schedule.

The **Dashboard** gives you a month-by-month read on how well-staffed your organisation is, without opening every roster individually. Use it to spot coverage gaps and workload imbalances before they become a problem.

## Open the dashboard

Select **Dashboard** in the sidebar. Use the month arrows to move between periods, and the **Department** and **Location** filters to narrow the view.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If there's no published roster for the selected month, the dashboard shows an empty state — generate a roster for that period to see its stats.

## What you see

> **Coverage**
>
> Required, covered, and gapped staffing slots for the month, plus the overall coverage percentage.

> **Workforce**
>
> Total staff, how many are scheduled versus unscheduled, and how many sit within, above, or below their expected monthly hours.

> **Needs Attention**
>
> A flagged list of the month's most pressing issues, most severe first.

> **Upcoming · Next 7 Days**
>
> Uncovered shifts, understaffed shifts, and staff unavailability coming up in the next week.

### Staff directory

A searchable table of every doctor in scope for the month, with their department, duties, scheduled hours, expected hours, and a status badge — **Within**, or flagged **Above** / **Below** their configured range.

## A doctor's own dashboard

Every doctor's profile has its own **Dashboard** tab — the first tab you see when you open a profile. It shows that doctor's duties, scheduled hours, expected range, status badge, night and weekend duty counts, and an **Upcoming** list of what's next, all for the selected month.

Use it to answer "how is this specific doctor doing this month?" without cross-referencing the org-wide view.
