A location represents a physical site your organisation runs from — for example, Town Campus or Ranipet Campus. If your team operates out of a single site, you likely don’t need locations at all; they’re built for organisations that staff more than one.
Locations are independent of department and pod, two other ways to slice your team.

Add a location

1

Open Locations

Go to Settings and select the Locations tab.
2

Start a new location

Select Add Location.
3

Name it

Enter a Location Name, for example Town Campus, and an optional Description.
4

Set the timezone

Choose a Timezone for the location. It defaults to a timezone based on your organisation’s country, but set it explicitly for any location that’s in a different timezone from the rest of your organisation.
5

Save

Select Create. The location is immediately available to assign to doctors and to select on rosters, Shift Schedules, and Auto Duties.
A location’s timezone isn’t just cosmetic: it’s what Calendar Sync and Auto Duty’s notify timing use to work out the correct local time. If your organisation runs across more than one timezone, set this per location rather than leaving every location on the default.
Only admins can add or edit locations.

Assign doctors to locations

Open a doctor’s profile, select Edit, and check one or more locations under Locations. A doctor can belong to more than one — useful for staff who split time between sites. See Doctor profiles.
